Aldi has expanded its logistics network with the opening of a new distribution centre in Bardon, Leicestershire. The facility covers 1.3 million square feet, marking a significant increase in the retailer's storage and sorting capacity.
According to The Grocer, the site is 100,000 square feet larger than the Luton distribution centre operated by Lidl. That facility had been described as the biggest in the world upon its opening in 2023.
