Chemical risks have dominated recent discussions within the Food Safety Signalling Consultation (SO-V). This Dutch network was established in 2020 to identify and interpret potential threats to food safety before they become widespread issues.
According to Food Safety News, the network is split into two specialised sections. One focuses on microbiological risks, while the other handles chemical concerns, with the latter taking centre stage over the past year.
