Denmark recorded 56 foodborne outbreaks throughout 2025. While many common pathogens have seen a decrease in prevalence, reports of Listeria have trended upwards.
According to Food Safety News, this rise in Listeria stands in contrast to the overall downward trend observed across most other food-related pathogens in the region.
