A new analysis from Poland reveals that foodborne outbreaks are on the rise. According to Food Safety News, the majority of these incidents were caused by bacterial contamination.

Salmonella was the most frequent culprit identified in the study. Specifically, Salmonella Enteritidis was responsible for 80 per cent of all Salmonella cases recorded.
