Lettuce Outbreak Surpasses 11,000 Cases

A Cyclospora outbreak linked to iceberg lettuce has spread to three additional states.

The number of patients affected by a Cyclospora outbreak linked to iceberg lettuce has now topped 11,000. According to Food Safety News, the scope of the contamination has widened with three more states added to the list of affected regions.

The FDA is currently conducting onsite inspections and sampling. These efforts are focused on Taylor Farms iceberg lettuce growers and a processing facility located in Mexico to determine the source of the issue.
