Cocoa farmers in Ghana have expressed their rejection of a new law introduced by COCOBOD. Representatives for the farmers argue that the legislation does not adequately address the structural weaknesses currently affecting the industry.
According to a report by Food Business Africa, there are concerns that these new rules could extend Ghana's reliance on exporting raw beans rather than developing more processed products locally.
